I am looking for some type of a custom shift knob. If anyone has any ideas of something that I could turn into a shift knob, please let me know.

a piston from a small engine. lawn mower etc

they sell piston shift knobs already so that wouldn't be too custom. but besides that i don't know so maybe that is the best thing to go with.

How about a ball shift knob, like the recent Camaro? It'd be kinda cool if it could be painted with some type of special paint that would be black, but would show some color around the edges - like an eclipse!! Or how about something to emulate the controls of a fighter jet, since we have a 'cockpit'-style console?? My .02

actually i only thought of that b/c one of my friends (a girl) was talking about how when her ex drives an is sitting at a light he kinda unconciously plays with the shifter in neutral and it looks like he's yea...

a fighter jet shift knob. get this, if u get NOS or somethin, u flip the lil switch up on top of it and push the red button. and then for the guns button, iono figure a way to make it a remote for your CD player. i just watched TOP GUN}(

bwhahaaa OMFG marc that was too funny. i nearly fell outta my seat laughing so hard!

I saw this kinda cool, kinda weird shift nob at auto zone... It was a simple nob, but the top flips open and has 4 buttons. Its kinda james bond/ knight rider, but if you had some use for it, it be kina kewl

get a pool ball..drill it out and put some threads in it..depending on the colors of you car get the colors that match..
