I seem to be scrapping on almost everything (front bumper). I was just wondering if I was the only one (I dont think I am). Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I have only had my front bumper on two days and it is already broken. I went over a transition from a parking lot to the street and the front lip caught and I put four 5" cracks in the bumper, I also ripped one of the bolts out of the fiber glass. It was a good thing I was going .25 mph or I would have lost the whole thing. I have just spent the last 5 hours fixing the cracks. Im just glad that I havent painted it yet.

I am thinking it might help if I got some 19" rims w/ like a 45 tire, as well as a .25" raise in height. Do you think this would help, or is the front just too out there.

It might be a short life for the blitz on my car.

I'm not sure about the blitz kit but I did just about the same thing with my sensei when I first got it. I was going from a parking lot to a street, and cought the street with my bumper and ripped the bolt out on the driverside and cracked it in the same place. its not really how low you are, Just ask Cyan he is low as hell and his kit is still in great condition. its a matter of learing how to drive with it and where you can and can't go with it. Thats my prob I still like to think I can get in and out of anywhere......well the condition of my bumper would prove that to be wrong!!! hehe

If your exiting a parking lot with a steep grade. You have to start on the wrong side, where people would go into the lot, and drive down on as much of an angle as you can. If your still hitting and it's not a really busy road then you can back down it, that's how I leave work everyday, and at 11:30pm there's not too many people on the road, so it's not too hard to back out. Where did you get your bumper from? I've slammed mined a couple of times and got lucky that it didn't brake. On the corners where you usually hit, you could try spreading some fiberglass filler on the inside of the bumper. This should give it some strength, so it won't crack as easily.

first of all, reading your first post, i knew your bumper was shitty, then i read your last one and you told all, you bought it from assylum, there is the reason for your cracks. but more importantly, like BS'z said, hehe, you gotta realize that having a fiberglas kit comes with a cost, you cant drive everywhere you used to, accept that or go stock again. when i got my first bumper, i was ignorant too and tried pulling into parking lots i knew were too steep and ended p popping the sides of the kit off the car several times, popping out the sidemarkers, and chipping the krylon paintjob i gave it. once i eventually got it painted a year later, i had learned my lesson with my last mistake, i was pulling off the shoulder onto the road and the road was about a 4" grade in asphalt which the front end hit and it cracked, but it was genuine erebuni so this was the only crack i incurred in a year with that kit. all i do now is scrape the bottom cause i know where im "allowed" and where im not welcome with my drop and my bumpers. i drove my car around for a few nights with it dropped 5 inches, i measure the front end and it was one inch off the ground. this doesnt seem THAT low, but go measure yours now, if you think its 4 inches off the grond its 6, if you think its one inch, its 3. mine was one inch and all i did was hit the front of some speedbumps. you will learn, patience grasshoppa!

i agree with lindsey. i had an assylums front kit and cracked the hell outta it. i sold the bitch and got a VIS and it's good and thick. haven't cracked it yet and i beat the hell outta it! it's just gotta few paint scrapes on the bottom.
