I replaced the stock radio with a new one and it has a gap underneith which now has one of those covers that comes with the adapter kit to put the radio in. I had the idea of putting to small gauges in that spot but I never seen it done before. Does anyone here have it done or seen it before? If so where can I get the adapter that I would need to put the gauges in. If anyone has pics it would be greatly appreciated.

I've never seen that either, I've seen switches mounted there, but I'd imagine you'd just have to get a Dremel and cut holes out yourself. Is that plate at least 2 and 1/16" high?

Quick update, I just ran out to my car with a ruler, and the holes in my A-Pillar pod are 2 1/8" in diameter and the plate under my radio is only 2 " tall so the gauges wouldn't fit there cleanly. If they make smaller gauges that 2 1/16 then I'd say you could do it.

I don't think thats where he is talking about. The spot he is talking about is where the bottom half of your LCD is.

i know for a fact that 2-1/16" will not fit. a 2" would fit, it would be a tight fit, but it would fit. i tried to have my 2-1/16" autometer a/f where you are talking about and all i got was a ruined piece of fiberglass panel that i made. if you made the panel stick out some(ie. angled more towards you the driver) it would fit, but im happy w/o a cig lighter and a a/f guage there...
