Around how much would any of you say it cost to have a body kit installed with the sideskirts molded?...and how do you mold?If its easy enough I'd rather do it myself and have my aunts friend paint it since he does that :-p...so ne help?

I dont know how one would much a general estimate, because it really depends on ur location. I would highly suggest not molding the sides urself. It will turn out like crap.

I wouldn't mold the sides yourself unless you've done stuff like that before. As for a price, it really depends on where you live and the quality of work the body shop does. To install my kit and fenders, mold the sides, paint the whole car, I paid $1100.

1100 is a steal. Most shops charge around 700 to paint and install a body kit without molding. Figure 150 to 200 extra for the molding of the sideskirts. I'm quoting average prices at good shops. Some charge a lot more.

install it yourself, $450 for body kit, then you got someone to paint it. You can put it on. All you need it a dremel. Its not too hard.

a dremel wont mold fiberglass :).

But it depends on the skirts you get. If they are ones that come up on the side, then you would want those molded. If not then just drill them on urself.

I'm paying $300 for a complete paintjob (doorjams and all). I do bodywork, so I'm doing all the sanding & prepping myself. Plus I have to fill all the holes left from the stock talon wing, which will be replaced by a stock clipse turbo wing, and fill the holes from the door moldings. The $300 includes paint & the labor for primming & painting.

Good deal, but what kind of paint? Paint and materials for PPG, House of Kolor, or Sherwin-Williams, will run over 300. That's not including labor. Make sure they put enough base and clear coats, and color sand your car after. Otherwise you'll be wasting all your time spent on prepping it.
