Well, as I said in another thread, I broke my door handle, was quoted around $250 to get it fixed, so I decided to take to my trusty mechanic to see what he can do (my dad).

For future reference...here is what we did. Sorry I don't have any pics, but I don't want to be anywhere near my camera when I am as dirty as I get.

Anyways, getting the door handle out was a MOTHA, but once we did, we tried to super glue it back together. As a few of you guessed, that didn't work, at all. So my dad grabbed his air drill and bit, drilled a hole through the plastic piece that attaches to the rod into the plastic piece that attaches to the handle, and screwed them together with a small bevel headed screw surrounded by superglue!! :) :)

Hey, whatever works, I have a functional door handle again, nobody can tell the difference, and I saved $250.

I just shaved mine.

I bought a New Door Handle for $45 shipped and it took me 45 minutes to get it installed.

It's not hard - just time consuming. I would not been able to do it myself without the help of this forum since someone actually wrote a How To Step by Step on removing and installing the door handle.

I printed it out and followed it step by step and was done in 45 minutes. I did a search on "Broken Door Handle" here and found the info needed.

$250.00 to replace the door handle - what a rip off. Glas you got it to work.

FlyinEsi..this thread is worthless without pics. Show us how to do it so people will know what you're talking about.. i'm quite interested as i've had to replace 2 handles in a year.

i fixed my old one the same way, and i still have my pass and drv handles, black availible to anyone who wishes or needs to buy one or both from me.

i'm with optikal, just shave em. :)

Sorry dude, I couldn't take pics. My dad and I were doing maintenence on the car as well and we were both dirty as fuck and I don't want to ruin my camera. Basically I drilled a holl and screwed the 2 pieces together.

And to Optikal and Myke, I would shave my door handle, but I want to go performance first, stage III maybe, take it to the track a few times, and then do the body work.

DoOd, that is why I said I want to do the performance first, run at the track a few times, THEN get the body work done when I don't feel the need to go to the track anymore. :P

Door handles are ugly so I took them out. At my track I can run but only friday night grudge racing and stuff.
