Hi all,

Wondering if anybody changed out their cloth seats and put in oem leather seats, like off of a gsx or something. Will they bolt right into my old brackets? Stealership says they won't...don't trust them though. Also, how hard is it to put in a power seat???

yep.. they will fit.

i had cloth gs seats and swapped them out with leather up front.. and fit like a charm.

Damnit, you would think that a Mitsubishi dealership would know more about their own damn cars.

BTW...I swapped to leather and it looks soooo sweet. I don't like the leather door panels that come stock with GSXs. Just the leather seats make the car look 1000Xs better. Enjoy...

i wasnt able to get power seats.. but from my understanding there should be a plug under the carpet that will power the seat if it is swapped in.. as far as fitment it should be the same fit..

Yep they fit perfect! All you have to do is unbolt the cloth seats and put the leather ones in and plug in the seat. I love the way they look and I think they are much more comfortable!

Yes, they bolt RIGHT in. I have the back and front leather seats off a 99 GSX. The problem with the back seat is that its a two peice, and me being an RS, stock was a one peice, so i had to make a special mount for them in the middle. As far as the front seats though, they bolt right in. BUT, i am an RS, so that plug wasnt under the seat for the power seat.. i ran two wires from the seat to a fuse thing(not sure the correct term, its a fuse cartridge thing that has wires coming out of both sides and you slip a fuse in the middle of it) then from that i ran it into the fuse box, the one inside the car. Anyway, it looks and feels 1000000000 times better!

putting my black leather fronts in tomarrow.....as far as the 50/50 split back......i would love to see pics of how u fixed the two brackets to the car......mine has been in the car for a while now and i still haven't drilled holes for the two inside brackets.....email me or post up some pics on how u did it.....id really like to see.....did u guys here that.........i finally got some black leather fronts........and yes there at my house.......some of u know ive been lookin for some for a while and i finally got them....thanks too Jay93gsx off of www.se.dsm.org. drove 5 hours both ways to get them but hey......i got them......

i drilled the holes for the bolts in the rear on mine too. dont have pics though. i just bolted them into the 2 existing holes, lined the seats up straight, and then marked the holes with a pen.

i guess ill have to do that.......

I'm in the middle of reupholstering my seats with leather, not too bad to do IMO.
