57244, New pics of the ride (56K beware)
Posted by 1TuffRS, Sep-15-03 11:06 AM
Since I last posted pics of my car Ive added sideskirts off a 97 GST and Rota wheels. I also included some pics of my interior for those who were curious. The pics were taken with a crappy ass digi cam, but you get the idea. Sorry they are so big.

I ordered spacers so I can put the center caps on :)

how much do rota slipstreams cost? 16's ?

Those are 17" Rota Subzeros I paid 555 shipped for them on ebay. I dont know how much 16" slipstreams would be but I dont think they would be anymore than mine were. Plus they only weigh 16lbs :thumbsup

Now the only thing I missing from my car technically being a GS is the power options. Ill worry about that after I've boosted and rebuilt the engine }(

You should get rid of the projectors and throw the stocks back in. The chrome look of them is throwing it off.

yeah, I know. Thing is when I first got the car I started ricing it out and ended up melting the wiring harnesses in the stockers. I ended up selling them a long time ago and got the projectors off of someone here because they were the right price. Right now Im not really worried about it as long as they are functioning. Im saving my cash right now and I should have the money for a turbo kit and an FTY block by January. I'd rather go fast in an OK looking car that I can worry about looking good later, than look good in a slow car.

I look sexy in my slow car

lol, well your car is one of my favorites on the board. I do plan on getting the car repainted, adding a OEM or invader (for better cooling) CF hood, WW 3pc wing (I like it better than the stock turbo wing, but it still gives the same look), and possibly a front lip. Those are the only external mods Im considering because most of the others that I can think of really dont serve a purpose other than looks. All that will have to wait though, most of my car buddies drive 4G63 cars and it sucks having to struggle to keep up with them when we are cruising, hehe. But it definitely helped out my driving skills
:thumbsup

You gonna paint up the door handles and mirrors also? Also i wouldnt bother with the front lip, i had mine for one week before it shattered. I'm also lowered 2". Your car looks a little higher.

Just paint the housing... Nice rims

Yeah, the door handles and mirrors will definitely get painted. Those are the only real external hints that the car is an RS. I might not get the lip, I have been hearing about a lot of people who have broken theirs time and time again. Oh and yeah my car is higher, I did have progress race springs which lowered the car 1.75" but I put Nuespeed Sport springs on the car when I put the Tockico's in there. I think I want the car lower again though, so eventually the nuespeeds will come off the car for something else. Not sure with what right now though. Any suggestions?

I never thought about just painting the housings, very good suggestion. Defintely something to think about.
