ok, i went to go put my blitz back bumper on my car today/tonight, and it like wont fit, like one side ill get tight up against the car and it looks fine, and the other side will be like 2 inches away from the other side, like the stock bumper is all bendable and stuff, but the blitz, it looks like its going to buckle up in the middle when i try to put it on to where my tail lights wont fit, if anyone ran into this problem could you please help me out, or any of u guys in jax dsm would come out to my house im in OP by college drive, id pay you if you came out lol if thats an iniciative ( sp )

Did you take off the back bumper brace? I beleive you have to do that to make aftermarket kits fit.

yeah you have to take off the support if you havent. but i got a blitz back that is still too wide without the support. its just been taking up space because its too much work to get it to fit right. some are just like that i guess.

actually one suggestion from me, after taking out the support bar, would be where the bumper actually screws in to the rear of the car there is a little lip. try slightly pushing on the end that does not want to meet up to the tail lights. i found that it was bent down, and made my bumper sag in the rear.
before: it was this low all the way around.

after:
to say the least with raising that shelf, it helped out alot. hope you can tell by these pics, and i hope i helped you out a bit.

Try bolting one side and pulling the other side into place. Also putting the car in the sun will help the fiberglass to be able to flex a little better. I had the same problem with my buddy club rear and had to build the sides up on the bumber to be even with the car's quarter panel.

In the worst case the bumper may be molded too wide. You should just get another one, or else you'd have to cut it in half and redo the fiberglass to fit.

If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. Don't try to force it in or it will flex and crack over time. But I would suggest lining up the middle first, and putting a couple screws vertically down the middle into that small metal lip it sits on. Then do each side. Hope that helps.

I think his prob was not the gap from the tailights, but that the bumper itself was too wide for the car so it won't bolt up right. If you have a gap by the tailights (I had about a half inch), you can just use a lot of bondo in layers to fill it up. Put a thick base layer, then sand a little and keep repeating. Mine's held up fine since there is no stress at that point.

no sir you are wrong. start on one side and strech it to the other. i have done it b4. there is no way you can do it perfect from the middle. to get rid of the gap between taillight and the bumper put a couple of washers between the bumper and the mounting bracketts
nm i thought we were talking about it being to narrow.

sorry to hijack the thread, but keg killa. the bracket that the actual bumper sits on and screws into. i had mine done by a body shop, and they screwed it up. i removed the bumper, and moved the bracket up. i went under neath it, andpushed, i didnt push too hard cause it didnt look that sturdy, but i pushed it up till i thought it looked right, test fit the bumper, and did that till it looked straight. if you have any more questions, or i missed something, please email me @ bpetrey104@aol.com i will be glad to take a couple of pics for you to help you out with it. later
