i was in pepeboys the other day and i saw that they sell racing seats. does anyone have any experience with them?? they seemed to be good quality and they have them set up so you can sit in them and they were pretty comfortable, and adjustable. they have three styles. they are pretty cheap too and you dont have to pay shipping which is a huge plus. i think the ones i liked were $175 a piece. not too shabby. i was just wondering what other people thought of them or if they are in fact good seats. i cant remember the brand name on them though.

the seats sound like a good price. dont forget to add in the cost of brackets and sliders, which may be another 200-300 more.

oh yeah, they come with some universal brackets and sliders. i am not sure if they will work in our cars or not.

sounds like a pretty good deal then. cliff u should take ur car there, and ask to see if u could place on of the seats in ur car to assure fitment is good.

I saw the ones you were talkin about. My boy is thinking about getting them as well. It would be very easy and affordable to get the brackets welded to fit our cars. Plus he was gonna get sparco embrodered on the headrest part of the seat at an apholserty shop for cheap. There are ones in there that look kinda like sparcos. I would say go for it.

yeah, my mother does embroidery and i was thinking about getting my name or something else, or even a talon logo in there, but not a different company. but yes, they do look just like the sparcos.

i found out they were 3A Racing seats. here is a pic of the ones i like.

Nice but I really don't like the pattern on the ass part.

The Pep Boys by my house has them in 3 styles, 2 cloth and one fake leather. They may look nice from a glance, but when you take a closer look you can definitely tell that they are poor quality and only for looks. I doubt they would provide much more support than your stock seats.

oh boy, looks like i'm bringing this one back from the dead. i got those seats for christmas. i got them for $150 a piece with brackets and sliders. i love them dude. i think they look hella sweet. i haven't put them in yet but i'm going to be attempting it soon. there's a picture of the seats and a picture of the underside of the brackets and sliders. does anyone know if they make car specific brackets or do i need to pull some custom crap to make them work?

I have to definitely agree with A Miller about embroidering sparco in them, but 3A is very nice, ive seen them in a 300ZX, sounds like a good deal.

i agree, what's the point of buying the seats if you're just going to put some other brand name on it. if anything, i'd put a talon logo on it like farmdogg said. and farmdogg, you can definitly come on by or we'll meet somewhere. i hope i can put them in without to much custom crap. although it doesn't look good.:thumbsup
