Hey, I had a quick question. We all know that Motegi MR7's and Konig Tantrums look alike, my question is, is there really a big difference? Right now I have the chance to buy Tantrums which I've always wanted to, but is there something I don't know behind the whole debate?

well, your gonna pay more for the konigs naturally because they are a big name. but then again i guess you have the bragging rights of having konigs so it all really depends on what you want.

Konigs have that red center cap dealy on them or something don't they? I know someone on here has a barcelona red GS w/ them dropped 2 inches and they look pretty trick. I think fasterGS or someone, but I forget. But its up to you .. if you like to tell people what kind of rims you have, then buy the konigs but I have hp typhoons .. which look the same as both the mr7 and tantrums .. and I have no problem telling people they are motegi mr7 rip-offs heh. I guess I'm a step below lol

I've got 18" Motegi MR7's -- Motegi has actually become a bigger name sonce I got them.

The only difference basically is the center caps and the weight. (My centercaps are really nice....you'll like em) -- and as far as weight goes...my rims weigh 28lbs each....hehe. While the Tantrums weigh about 10lbs less. I didn't give a shit though since I was turbo...I actually kinda think the weight of the rims help my traction out, wheel hopping is a tad tougher....:-)

Get the MR7's.
