5501, SEAT BRACKET ADAPTERS SLIDERS?????AHHHHHHH!!!

hello everyone,
i am running into some walls here, well i went to my local tuner shop which is very good and know's their stuff. they gave me some info that i was wondering if anyone here can verify. I have 2 momo 1000 lakes K/C seats. They have the option for basemount or sidemount. I heard that FIA banned basemounting seats because they will pull out in a rear impact therefore i want to sidemount the seats. this is where things get wacky!! they told me that in order to sidemount the seats i have to get side mount brackets (obviously) and then i have to get brackets for my car. then they told me i need sliders, which is also okay, but then they said i need an adapter to mount the side mount brackets to the sliders which i was like what the hell. and all that would be like 280 bucks a seat. now i was wondering if anyone knows if this is actually correct. okay that's about it thanks for the info

damn those are nice seats by the way, and yes, for sidemount you will need an adapter for each seat. you have the seat itself, which will be attached to the sidemount brackets, which will attach to the slider and adapter in order for them to bolt to the floor. the only reason you dont need adapters for bottom mount is because the mounts are already on the bottom. but who cares about FIA approval, bolt those bastards to the floor, they wont come out in an impact because they bolt in exactly the same way (and with the same bolts) as the stock seats. if they will come out, so will your stock ones. (i think FIA is doing these crash tests at 100+ mph to rip a seat out of 4 finger-thick bolts

thanks for the info, the adapter bracke you have in your car for your seats...do they have a part number stamped on them? i have only the driver's side bracket right now and it says 1096 on it, but i don't know who the heck made it, i'm kinda also having a problem finding the passenger side bracket. thanks for teh info i will see what goes on with the brackets and hope everything works!
