So you hatch will open by itself? Sweet ass. You should make one for the hood :).

not by itself...but by the push of a button:+

What did you use to make it and how does it work?

will that actuator support the weight of the hatch lid? are you worried about flex due to the fact that only one side is "powered"? and do you have a rotating bracket to attach to one end of it to keep things from snapping in half??? :P :P :P :+
sorry, you seem to be on a linear actuator kick recently...i have to give you a hard time. ;) looks like it will be awesome!

>will that actuator support the weight of the hatch lid?
It can lift over 150lbs so far
are >you worried about flex due to the fact that only one side is >"powered"?
I am keeping both stock shocks, they are both worn out so they are not doing much anyway
and do you have a rotating bracket to attach to one >end of it to keep things from snapping in half???
it dosnt spin at all, the shaft that moves is a rod that just goes up and down.
Also I really didnt make the whole thing by myslf, I dont have a machine shop, So I had a buddy machine it and I designed it.Can I make more........ NO it took 1.5 years to get it made (do a search and you will see) So there can only be 1. But hopefuly I can have it in by the end of the month sine there is alot of electrical work to be done so its all automatic

How much did it cost you. My friend was telling me that you can buy them for like $150, but didn't tell me where.

you can buy a linear actuator at many places for 150 or so. the skill is getting it to fit correctly, lol. ill back up hondahater in saying that what he is doing is no small feat
BTW....this is somthing ive been thinking about for a while as well (my struts are blown too x( ) , so im glad to see that SOMEONE is doing it, lol. ;)
