53559, Holes on sides of doors
Posted by NJRedBlitZ, Jul-24-03 05:03 PM
Ok the guy at the body shop said that this removable exterior panel on the bottom of the doors needed to be taken out in order to fit my side skirts....well they did nothing for it and left it with holes. Any one know what i should do to fill them up? Is it a job i can do by myself? If so what materials and tools should i use? I can probably use my can of touch up spray and clearcoat when the work is done...if this is possible, i may contemplate on doing the same with the old holes from my stock spoiler.

Wow... i dont realy know what to say about that...

1st sounds like your body guy is a total dumbass.

2nd. They shouldnt have had to remove those just to make the sideskirts fit if they were professional at all.

3rd. How the hell could they let the car out of the shop with the stock holes still in the door and think that was ok.

4th. You will need to either go to a good bodyshop and have the sideskirts properly fitted or have a body shop weld the holes shut, grind them, bondo them, and then paint them.

5. Good luck dude...

I would have never left the shop. Go back and tell them whats up.

NOTE: The only way to get them to listen is to walk in and slap a few people... then they know you mean bussines!

NOTE: Don't really do that.

I wish i knew this before i learned alot more about hookin up cars. I was seriously wondering, if you pride over your work so much, how could you let this car leave the shop like that. I mean i dint pay for shit but the insurance check was $1500...did i get my money's worth or did i get robbed? Not to mention sum paint drips and not installing my reverse lights(until i threatened to install it in their arses..j/k)..
