there is something catching about the cf hood on a black car.....i just can't figure out what it is yet. anybody know what the deal with hood pins is? are they important with a cf hood?

CF hoods are known for breaking latches and flying off the car. Hood pins are good insurance to prevent that.

something like that worries me:o now i'm second guessing whether i should get one or if i should just get my stocker repainted.

Nah. If you like the CF hood look, go ahead and get it. Just pay an extra $15 for a set of hood pins and you don't have to worry about it.

make sure the hood is good quality. i've never heard anything bad about a vis hood. i've gone 110 down the highway with mine and it didn't even move. good quality hood:thumbsup

Hey shuwa I have a VIS cf hood just like yours coming in the mail hopefully before friday. I was debating hood pins...have you or anyone else heard of a case where a VIS cf hood flew up? I really really don't want to put hood pins in. tia

evan is the only person i know of that it happened too. and i'm pretty sure his wasn't vis. granted we all hear stories about so and so from so and so had their fly up. well that's what so and so told me. that's how i see it. i'm cool with mine. and i know others are too. but hey, some like to be extra safe. that's just them.

what are you refering to exactly by low end? Did you all drill holes for your winsheild washer sprayers or did you relocate them? tia

most come with the holes already there. mine did. i kinda wish they were not there since i never use them.

low end. in most cases its the one without the holes. or the one that they do not wrap carbon fiber underneath it around the latch.


p.s. id hate to ask but i was just wondering if you had a pic of your r34 with a piece of tire sticking in it.
