51342, 18's on Eibach PRO KIT....TONS OF Q's Posted by 1998EclipseRS, Jun-25-03 09:06 PM
Yeah, as most of you know I got my wheels in about a week ago.

(They are 18x7.5)
I ordered my Eibach Pro Kit springs a few days ago and I was wondering if anyone has 18's on the Pro Kit drop that could help me with some questions and show me a pic of their car. I have a few concerns after I get the springs on. I want to know if my camber is gonna be off and how I should adjust it, I'm really clueless right now. When I get the springs on, I'm gonna go get an alignment...will they be able to adjust my camber? SOMEONE SHOW ME THE LIGHT, I'll show you some points!

You'll be ok. I have 18's with 225/40/18 tires on prokits. Sorry, i don't have any pics here at work. You'll need a camber kit for the rear. The front maybe/maybe not you really wont know until you get an alignment if you'll need a camber kit in the front also.

your camber changes when you drop your car..... it won't change if you leave it stock...... another thing to remember is that when you drop your car it is just a matter of when your struts will blow..... it's best to do the springs struts and the camber at the same time..... this way you don't have to do a wheel alighnment every time

not sure about the fronts but, the rear camber mod on the main site works like a charm.... depending on how bad the camber is add a couple more washers to each bolt. that will save you money. my fronts didnt need adjustment they were only about -.5 off. im not on prokit and i have 17s so my camber is diff. back to the point the rear camber mod will save you some $$. nice rims BTW. :thumbsup

Icedout is correct. You will need camber kits for both front and rear. You can do the $15 dollar rear camber mod and have to purchase a camber kit for the front.
For more info on the $15 rear camber mod go here--> http://www.2gnt.com/www/files/rearcamber.htm

Well, my sig has a pic of 18s on prokits. Yup, you would definitely need camber kits. I have the front one from RRE and the rear one from Napa, 130 and 40 bux respectively. I'm still kinda off in the front, which is weird since RRE advertises that the front camber kits that they have are specifically for prokit height.

SonicYan... THANKS.... so napa sells the rear one... cool. Is there a cheaper front one? I need that too I guess so I'm looking for a good deal.... What is RRE?
Thanks a lot.

If you do a search in the suspension section for camber kits you will find that this is something that has been discussed many time b4. Hope you find a good deal. peace

I have 18's with a prokit and I went to pepboys and bought the screws and washers, cost me a lil over 5 bux. I havent done my front, havent really had to. It sits nice with my Rudora kit also. You could prolly fit 19's with that drop. It rides nice too.

I know this topic is on the wrong board, but since somebody started it, I have a follow-up question. I also have a prokit sitting on 18 inch rims, and aligned the car a few day ago. The readout were
left front;-1 right front;-1.5 left rear;-1.4 right rear;-2.3
The guy at the alignment shop told me I just need to add 1 or more washer on the right rear (I did $15 camber mod). The fronts are a little bit out of spec, but since the toe was set right, and the front wheels are moving a lot, I really don't need to get a camber kit. He said I just need to rotate the wheels often.
Is he correct or bull-shitting?
Once again, sorry for the wrong topic on this board.
Thanks in advance.
