5121, Front end Protection

The eclipse on the F & F has that metal peice on the front end of the blitz front bumper. I heard these are used to protect the bumper? If anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about let me know and if you know where to get one, that would be helpful too. Thanks peeps.

It is actually carbon fiber, and worth as much or more than the bumper it is supposedly protecting.

yeah that one is carbon fiber, $499.99, mine is lucite, $39.99. i made mine for looks (cracked three so far cause im too low for lucite sittin an inch off the ground, but hey, do what ya gotta) you can see a couple of pics of mine on my site, if anyone wants one, i can make them and paint them cause im need money, so make an offer if anyone wants one, im thinking $60 for parts (lucite, stainless mounts, and paint/clearcoat) plus about 5 hours labor, but ill only want like $175-$225 or so. 5 hours labor at $50 an hour plus $60 ($310) is way too high for this piece.

You can also find them here: http://rmdsm.com/chin.htm

Not to take business away from Cyan in any way... They cost $195 SHIPPED through this place.

I came across it one day when looking online. I have no idea about quality or contruction. That, you would have to speak to the company about.

My friend suggested that you get some of that paint they use on truck beds to coat them and paint the bottom of the bumper with it. I forgot what it was called though. It'll come off after a while but you'd just need to touch it up. Don't know how much it costs though.
