i love my sylvania siverstars...i forget the wattage but i recommend them

go with real HID's my friend, worth the money!

I have some generic ones called Heliolites that have a wierd coating on them. I don't remember the wattage either, but the bulbs look orange and when you see them lit from any angle other than dead center, they appear to be amber. They shine blue light on the road though, so they are pimp. :thumbsup

If you don't go with real HIDs...I'd say go with the silverstar bulbs.

I have the Hiper Industries ones..they are nice...and if the Silverstar's didn't cost so much (more than $20-30 for one)...I would def. switch (they do look nice)

I got mine off e-bay for like $40 for 4 sets...2 low, and 2 high beam sets (8 bulbs total)

EDIT: they are a higher wattage, but I've had mine on for 2 1/2 years and no problems, but I have known a few people with higher wattage bulbs (different company) that DID burn up their wiring...just be careful, go with what you feel comfortable with!

yes higher wattage will burn up the wires.
Ussually the higher the "k" rationg the whitter/bluer it will be ( intensity?) but the light output will be lower ( at least for non real HID's).

i have silverstars and I wouldnt recomend them, I had generic ones before and they appeared brighter and bluer. Not worth $40 for the silverstars imo.

Silverstars aren't meant to be blue, hence why they are DOT approved. Maybe you got some crappy bulbs because mine are very white and light up way better than any other bulbs that I have had except for when I had HID.

Silverstars are definatly worth the money
