Basicly what the subject says. To clarify a little though, Im not looking for the APC or TYC altezza style. They are similar to the stock tail lights except they are a greyish/silverish color. If you have any idea what Im talking about and where to get em, PLEASE let me know. Thanks.

I don't think you can buy them from retail stores anymore. They have no red on them, hence they are illegal. Your best bet would be to check eBay from time to time.

you can try ebay but you'd be paying alot for them but if you want clear ones that's the way to go. they pop up on there occasionally and ones they are there, the bidding starts off really quick sometimes

Here in Ohio the law is you have to have a red reflector somewhere on the back of the car, so technically if you did something like had red lenses for your reverse lights you would be legal with clear tails, you would prob still be harassed tho. Check out the ass on the new Lexus SUVs, they're clear, but have red reflectors in the bumper.

I think the law here in Illinois is the same. If thats the case though couldn't I just get a little red relfector or even some reflective tape, and strategicly placed it somwhere on the back bumper, even by the license plate, and then be covered under law??? Just a thought.

Yes, I believe you could, but if Illinois is like Ohio and your car stands out you will probably still get harassed. I've gotten 2 tickets for my exhaust, each time I have to go down to court and show them an ad from the maunfacturer's website that states it's 50 state legal. I always beat the ticket but it's a pain having to go downtown and prove it's legal. So yea you can get away with it, but like any kind of mod cops love an excuse to pull you over.
