There is a local company here that may be interested in making custom carbon hoods with 2 humps or the hump on the opposite side for people swaping 2.4 or anyone that wants a custom hood. We havent worked out any details but I just wanted to know if anyone is interesed. This is great for the 2.4 swap since the timing cover and the thermostat hit the stock hood, if the hump was on the other side it would be perfect. They will be carbon fiber, I dont know if they do fiber glass.

i dont know how much they will be. im just trying to see how much interest there is, cause im going to have to cut my hood up to put the other hump on so they can make a mold.

I e-mailed the company yesterday, the quality on the hoods they make is some of the best I've ever seen and their pricing is very resonable (not shure what a custom hood would be though). If I dont get a reply soon I will give them a call and see what they say.

I am very interested in the double hump, BUT I want both humps to have vents in them. That way it will really keep my engine cool.

I got a reply back today, hoods would cost $650 canadian (about $480 US) and we would need about 15 people to get this going. He said it would take about 4 to 6 weeks for them to be finished but we would have to provide a hood for them to make the mold from. If anyone is still interested check out http://www.xr8edlidds.com
