Just checking cause I just found some rust under my hood. Not alot... But I want it fixed before it gets any worse. What happened, how did you get it fixed? Just wondering, Thanks

i didnt have a warranty on my car but where is your rust. is it up near where the windshield is on some of those thick metal pieces. that is where some of mine is. i probly wont fix it though. by the time rust gets through that whole piece, i will have totaled the car or completely torn it apart. any other opinions?

I found it 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty. so your covered... Mines right by the latch under the hood.:wary

make sure it wasnt hit before and repainted. If it was repainted and damaged before, they may not warranty it...

Just a note, the warranty only covers rust if it makes a hole through the sheetmetal. They won't cover superficial rust.

I have never seen an eclipse with rust before...........

True. I've got rust at the front and in the hatch area. I asked about getting it warranteed and they wouldn't do the front because I wrecked the front end and had it fixed and they wouldn't do the hatch because it hadn't rusted through yet. 100,000 rust warranty my ass.

my lil bro has a 99 rs and it has lots of rust on the inside of the hatch and under teh hood. it was origionaly purchased in west texas (very dry) and kept in dallas (pretty dry too) but mine dosent have a bit of rust on it and mine is a 96....weird
