49666, drilling into the body Posted by Diceman19, Jun-07-03 08:08 PM how do you make sure that the holes you drill in the body of your car wont rust. IE, when you add wings and sideskirts and other misc parts, how do you keep them from rusing. i think my spoiler holes are starting to rust on my hatch and i really dont want them too. :( thanks all! | |

49677, RE: drilling into the body Posted by SpreadEagle, Jun-07-03 08:50 PM This may be the ghetto way to do it, but if it's going to be hidden by the bodywork you could mask all but a small ring around the hole and prime it, maybe even spray it into a cup til you get a little puddle so you could brush it on to the inner edge of the hole. You could even try a small bead of silicon sealant like Plumber's Goop or the stuff they sell to reseal aquariums. | |
