Looks real good, makes me want to get one. Does the hood fit well? Were there any problems with the vents touching the engine?

I heard the ecu had to be relocated with that hood. Same question, did it fit good, or did u have to modify anything to make it fit? Looks hella tight.

the hood fit good. did't have to relocate a damn thing(still got stut bar) and the hood does have good engine clearance.

good choice I was gonna go carbon fiber but fiber glass is light and has the vents that cool the engine......looks and performance safety .....wise choice

Wow, it looks like it's painted white. I like the bump that comes with our cars, so I wouldnt get that hood, but it is differnt and I still like it.
Anywho, which is lighter ... carbon fiber or fibeglass?

Carbon fiber is generally lighter than fiberglass. The weight advantage is supposed to be why race cars use carbon fiber...

in most cases the carbon is actuall heavier, ive seen most hoods weighing 4 lbs in 'glas and 7 lbs in fiber. is that the aerogear brand or is it another brand name? i want whichever one you got cause as you know i need a new hood too now, the burn mark on mine isnt too attractive.

Do you mean 14 and 17lbs cause 4lbs is like nothing. I know the Extreme's overpriced CF hood is 17lbs and stock is 40lb. Anyway this is your area of expertise but I sure would like a 4lb hood.

it IS the actual aerogear hood cause i had to wait 4 months to get it cause they had to make the rear vent shallower(is that a word?!?!) cause people were reporting the vents were hitting the engine but they got the new mold done about 2 days after i ordered mine so i got lucky. and ALL aerogear parts come baby blue and some kind of gel coating so it's ready to paint.

i know extremes hood is heavy as a bitch, its multi-layered carbon hence the $900 price tag on it. my friends carbon hood is 7lbs and the aero duo fiberglas monster hood i was checking on a while back was 6 lbs, so 4 lbs is definately reasonable.

Klipz...how much did you pay for it??? If you don't mind me asking, cause my brother is getting a CF hood for his 2000 Solara for I think it was 450!!!! That's custome made too, so I know I would be able to get one for my car for a lot cheaper. And depending on the price, I want the hood you got. Thanks
