Looks good! I like it alot. Shame I aint got the money for the wheels if the other deal falls through. You should keep them for the winter. I use my rims in the winter and my stocks in the summer. Nicer racing tires on the stock wheels and they are lighter. Again looks good though. We'll have to hang out and go drinking again soon.

im doin somethin a little different here, these are the wheels i picked, 17's and only 17.6 lbs each

black is pimp :)
i got into tiny accident 2 weeks ago, some guy on an on-ramp to a highway was merging on when i coulda swore i saw him take off .... behind him i look left to merge and he is stopped infront of me. I saw him slammed on the brakes and hit him at maybe 5mp. my bumper was fine with the exception my paint was ruined on it, and my front hood was totaled. he had a truck and his rear bumper was imprinted into my hood. no damage for him.
so i bought a hood used for 150$, and rather then getting that and the bumper painted i always wanted to have just one color for my car not 2. i figured with all black i could get those rims.
i went to maaco and got the 3 coats of paint, 1 clear, door jams painted, and they also painted my side skirts not yet on my car all for 750. i also got a 4 year warantee so if the paint falls off they gotta paint it again.
hey lon i will let ya know about the oz's if this kid doesn't buy em. if we get a drink we gotta bring allen, he is 21 now and turns bright red when he has had too much. :thumbsup

Wow, $750 good deal. My mom's looking to paint her car too and was quoted $1300 also at Maaco.
Anyway... welcome to the TRUE darkside!

thanks for the compliments guys. im realy happy, it looks even better in person. the paint job was actually only 450, but change of color, side skirts getting painted not on car, and door jams ran the price to 750.
wiring up the horn was very easy, as well as keeping cruise control. my sparco wheel came with + and - wires for each button. all i did was connect them the way they came off the stock wheel. the + runs into the dash and the -'s just need to be grounded. i drilled a hole in the stock steel hub i and they work perfectly. the cruise control i mounted on the back of the wheel and i never had to cut any wires for that so i used the same conector.
i do see that red spot, man u have good eyes. funny thing is its not on any of the other pics. i have 2 shots i took from that same exact angle, the one i did not upload does not show any red.

what was the actual color of the horn wire coming out of the dash?

48643, RE: got my car painted a differnt color(not 56k friendly) Posted by steve0677, May-27-03 08:37 AM
its not far off by saying lets see how the paint lasts, it is maaco. i will be using my 4 year warantee if anything happens in that time period. my last car painted by them lasted great.
cliff, the rims im getting are nakayama 17's ts6 in bronze.
i will check the horn wire wen i get out of work.

The horn wire is green. There is a blue and a black wire for the cruise control stick assembly. When I put my momo wheel and hub on, I got rid of the whole clock spring mechanism since it is hideous. I used a springy piece of metal that i connected the green horn wire to that rubs on the back of the momo hub to complete the connection. So far it has worked great. I will try and get some pics up. Next week the quick release momo hub goes in so I can take my steering wheel with me... hahahaa -Chris b.
