hey guys im so pissed off right now it isnt even funny. I couldn't sleep last nite and at 5:15 my alarm goes off, i go outside to look for damage but it was still dark and i didnt see anything. I come back into the house and couldn't sleep b/c i didnt know what the fuck happened, and around 6am this kid comes out of a van in a hooded sweatshirt, i have no idea if he had anything to do w/ my car b/c he didnt even look at my car as far as i could tell, but it was right in front of my house where he got out, and he walked across the street thru everyone's yards. I finally fell asleep around 7 am, my parents checked out my car and didn't see any damage...i wake up around 2 pm b/c i was so tired, went to check out my car and boom - my driver's side window is smashed. My parents didn't notice it b/c it was still together, just smashed like a spider web. I called the cops and he said he thinks my tint held it together, and now no glass places are open until tuesday b/c of the holiday so im stuck without a car. Im so afraid that someone is going to come back and vandalize it with spray paint or slash my tires or something b/c they couldn't get into it. I guess the alarm scared them away, but im scared shitless. What did you guys all do when your cars got broken into? Im just scared and i dont know how im going to sleep anymore with my car outside, its the worst feeling in the world i just dont feel safe right now....

i know, i wish i had a garage. atleast its just a smashed window it could been a lot worse. i park my car off my driveway next to my window or so usually just in case. my alarm sucks too. im sorry tho, i know what you are feeling. i care for my car as much as my own life almost.

thanks for the reply man....i know what you're saying i love my car like nothing else, well at least no other object. It's just so ridiculous i just got my body kit put on a week and a half ago and now this!!!! UGHH!!! i have a car meet to go to on saturday next week, and i have to get my window replaced and retinted now by then. I put so much time, effort, and money into my car and someone just comes up and doesn't think twice about ruining someone else's property. Those people are the scum of the earth and whoever did that to my car, i can honestly say i hope he/she gets his very very soon....

damn bro, i'm really sorry! i feel the exact same way about my car. i even have a hard time leaving it in the parking lot at school. I usually try and leave it in the furthest parking lot from campus where nobody goes. i would try and park my car in the back yard or something:thumbsup

i hear you, do you think its someone with a personal thing against you or something just being stupid? teenagers :nono . we all do stupid stuff as kids but i never destroyed a nice car like yours. thats just wrong, and what goes around comes around. dont lose sleep over it though. ive done that a few times (lots of enemies), just try to take it easy. its hard to do tho. i got a dog protecting mine as well as a sucky alarm now :thumbsup

but really if you think it was just a random thing dont worry they more than likely will not return to a failed attempt at trying to steal something. thats one thing that sucks about having a nice car, ppl want the nice things thats in it :)

I spent about a week sitting in my front yard with a shotgun all night.

I suggest you find a place to move it to until you get that window fixed and set up a video camera in the window and record every night. Put a sign on your dash that says "You're on camera mother fuckers."

luckily i live in such a small town that everyone pretty much knows me and my car and it would be only too easy to find out who fucked with it, if that were to happen, plus everyone around here is obsessed with cars....which pretty much means lots of ricy hondas everywhere but anyway...good luck on finding the prick

man when u do this stuff to ur car u can't go to certain places. sounds like a punk is a little jealous of ur car drivin around in ur new body kit and smashed the window or a boched theft attempt... i have the club and an alarm. see if u can park ur car in ur back yard like dude said. sux

I Heard shit was going to be doen to my car. I was so paranoid i would lock my car when i put it in the garage at night. Just because i no the people that said it are ruthless and would do anything to get or destroy what they want. Just make sure you keep the alarm on and if u can park it under a light at night. And possible get some sensor lights on your house. Myswell spend 30 dollars on a stupid light then haev another window broke or worse. good luck

kid all i can say is get a burner and one of those 30$ security cameras from harborfreight.com (i got one shit works 2 legit!) it has night vision and is weather proof and has a mic built in so it even magnifies your alarm and just sit tight and protect your shit!

i am like such a security nut now .. i took the hood/truck switches out and moved them .. i rewired the drivers door and took the locks out of both of them and shit .. i went crazy :) i want someone to come and try testin my security .. i really want em to :)

I would love to park in the backyard, but the freakin fence we have around it doens't have an opening big enough to drive thru, and our 1 car garage has all our shit in it from when we moved in last august. im trying to get my parents to do something w/ all the shit in there so i can park in it (but with no basement in our new house it makes it tough). I have a bushmaster CAR-15 (mini m16) with a sure fire mounted to it and a .44 and a carbon steel SRK knife. Don't bother running because I can do 2 miles non stop in 13 minutes and I show no mercy for thieves and vandals, but maybe I'll show some pity. True, your best bet is camera and motion lights. And yes that kid with the hoody did it. He saw you which is why he started walking through people's lawn.

ive recentliy put a cf hood on my car, tinted the windows all around, its looking really clean and almost begging to get fucked with, especialliy in this ruthless bay area. im getting an alarm installed, (flashing led until the alarm is in), and im doing the camera setup. frys electronics sells a color video came with a microphone and rca cables to hook right up to your vcr or whatever for like 30 bucks. my only question is how should i record. i can get a cheap vcr but i like to sleep for 8 hours, can you get a tape that is long enough for 8 hours on extended play? oh, and im definately throwing the sign in the dash that says "your on camera motherfuckers" every night. that is just ingenious haha.

dude im sorry to hear that. twards the end of last year i had my car broken into it was in the street and they tried to push the window down but couldnt do anything so brock the lock and stole EVERYTHING. I know how you feel even though they didnt get anything

Dude the same thing happened to me about 2 years ago. I was asleep and about 2 am somone smashed my drivers side window. Luckly the alarm woke everyone up in the house and I guess he was scared and left. I couldnt go back to sleep and had to be at work at 7. I called in cause i wasnt going to drive it like that. I am sorry that it happened to you, maybe you pissed someone off or something and that was there way of letting you know. I hate assholes. At least they didnt get anything else. I got a used window for about 60 bucks at a junkyard and had it installed for 40. Good luck

damn i hate that this has happened to so many people. Luckily, i found out that there were a couple other cars in my neighborhood that were also broken into, so at least i know i wasn't being targeted, which makes me feel a hell of a lot better. I hate that other people woke up to what i woke up to, but at least i feel a little bit better about them coming back now. Mine i think was the only one with an alarm, and i dont know if they got anything out of anyone else's cars. I'm just very thankful that nothing was taken out of my car. I am definitely getting a blinking LED installed this week or next, i guess thats what they need to see to be sure there's an alarm b/c too many people put fake stickers on. I called all the places that say they will come to you to fix the window b/c i cant drive my car as it is, one slam of the door and the window i think will fall apart. Everyone was closed since it happened b/c of the holiday, so i'm hoping someone will be able to come tomorrow and has the window in stock and i can drive my car by tomorrow afternoon. Then i hope the tint place can squeeze me in and just retint my window so i can be ready for the meet on saturday. Damn i hate this, but i am extremely thankful that all it was was a window and i hope nothing like this ever ever ever happens again....thanks again for the replies guys and be careful out there. Let this be a lesson to anyone who doesn't have an alarm - GET ONE! Even if its a cheap one, especially if you park your car outside. God only knows what they would have taken if i didnt have an alarm, but i can guarantee it would have cost me more than the cost of an alarm, hell the $500 deductible itself is more than an alarm!

My car has definitely been broken into twice :( It totally sucks because there is basically nothing you can do after it happens... I feel your pain man.

feel lucky that they just broke your window, I have a buddy named dave who had his sooped up jeep grand cherkee stolen and torched. He was out with some friends for drinks and dinner in down town denver. Came out to start up his ride and it was gone. The police found it three days later in a field 15 miles away. The only thing left was a torched frame. He had over 60K invested into it, all top shelf items. To make matters worse, his insurance comapany screwed up on policy. They had listed his car as a classic not a custom. Because of this screw up they would only pay the value of the car not the extra work he did to it. He sued and ended up getting halfway between the original value of his ride and what he put into it. Now he drives a handa accord 4 door with a spare engine sent off to souped up.

I agree with everyone here. I own a summer resort and on my property also lives a deputy sheriff who is my manager's husband. Anyways, I caught the bastard in the act. Knocked him on his ass and had my parent's go and get the deputy. He cuffed him then and there and they hauled him in. One Down :thumbsup

i used to work at monroe muffler and my boss there had a welder hooked up to the body of his show elcamino, he left it on and some little kid touched it at an auto show and got knocked on his ass, sad and funny at the same time, a couple of warning stickers kept him from getting sued. best alarm ive ever seen!

Pretty sad that if a thieve busts into your car/house/apartment that if you retaliate they can actually get you in trouble. Equal rights are for all races and genders, they should not be for thieves. Freakin douche bags should all go get jobs and pay for their own habits and toys.

My old VW Cabrio got fugged up hardcore in the parking lot where i work. The cop said it was my fault for having a stereo system that my car got broken into. One slash of a knife cost me $2,000, my convertible top, my stereo system was another $2,000, my windshield was busted ($200), and about 250 cd's, only a few of those were burned too. Plus all the miscellaneous damage. If i were to replace everything and repair everything it would cost me about $6,000. I have a spot reserved in jail for when i find the fucker who did it.
