I have the tools/connections to have a vent cut into my hood on the hump. My only question is what exactly does it take? Do i need an insert or just wing it? Any pics will help too

Definately don't 'wing it' on something like that. You need a fiberglass vent molded in, and a small cut for air to go in, then repaint. $$$

this guy i know over here just cut the sides and top and pushed the metal down and used that as the bottom got a piece of metal for the sides welded on and put a screen
it looked good too :)
