48106, PLEASE HELP ELECTRICAL MAYHEM PROBLEM!!!
Posted by HondaKillerTYPE R, May-21-03 12:04 PM
i have a problem
ill try and explain as good as i can
my tail lights will not stay on. whenever i turn them on the fuse blows. whenever i turn on the headlights/tail lights my air conditioner comes on(whether the car is on or off) whenever i turn on my high beams the air cuts off. if i turn my turn signals on the fuse for them blows. i have a serious electrical mix up and i have no idea where to start. i have tried taking the negative terminal off the battery to reset the computer but that didnt fix it. my headlights still come on, its basically a mix up between my ac/fan and my tail lights/turn signals. any help would be apreciated.

ok back up.

What did you do or wire in your car, what areas/wires where u tinkering with before this started? Try and use an voltometer and trace back the wires to the problem. Most likely it sounds like ground wires are crossed or nonexistant.

If you have not done anything at all (which I doubt seriously hehe)

actually i was just drving down the road. i really think it might have something to do with my indiglo guages around my steering column. either that or my tail lights. its crazy when i go down the road and my guages and tail lighst shut off. is there anything the the steering column that could be doing it?

when you put in your indigo gauges,, did you push the cluster firmly into its sockets?? It seems that maybe your connections in the back are faulty and tripping all the lights and everything. just take out the 4 screws and try pushing the cluster back in firmly.
