47928, I Did The Window Rattle Fix Posted by esseclipse, May-18-03 04:57 PM
I did the window rattle fix that was posted on dsmtalk today and I also went to Home Depot and bought some Great Stuff expandable foam and applied it in all the cracks and everywhere that creaks and I must say it made a hell of a difference. The door is much more solid, there are less creaks, and the window rattles much less than it used to. But do not get any Great Stuff on your self....I got some on my hand and it won't come off.

Imaging covering someone with a ton of great stuff while they are sleeping. That would be the greatest prank.

well.. I think the point is to just use little amounts. Dont be filling the whole door with that expandable foam. You might get lots of problems if you did that. Maybe just at the corners, or some of the places that have sqeaks and make noise. Im about to try this out on my doors thiw weekend. Also in the trunk.
