how do i get the lock mechanism back into the spot for it in the door handle? mine broke off one night when it was cold, rather i should say it fell into my door. its still on the wire and everything and i can slide it back in but it falls right back out when you touch it, is there a clip or something i need? i think i found a white clip but i have no clue to where i would put it or even reach under there to see it.

the lock cylinder has a metal clip that goes behind it. its a really stiff wire clip.

is it horse shoe shaped? if so i found it but i think i mightve lost it... i probably did... but if i can find it where do i put it? should i take the handle out completely cuz my door skin doesnt want to come off completely. this is just annoying i have to fix it somehow even if i lost the clip.

does anyone know where do i place the clip?
