check it out.. I found the #74 bulbs that our cluster uses. Someone posted a reply to one of my posts before saying that they were the 194 bulbs. They ARE NOT, they are the #74 bulbs. The tiny ass ones.. well I found them in blue and at .99 each, you cant go wrong. Even if the color fades over time, just buy like a dozen and change them when need be.

just to clarify, you inquired if it was possible to use the bulbs in our footwells instead of LED's. those bulbs (as well as the ones in our bumper markers) ARE 194 size. you were just asking about the wrong bulbs. :P

and it's not so much the color fading, it's that they look like shit compared to LED's to begin with. they NEVER compare to the blue you get from a LED - not even when they're new. they just proceed to look shitier as time goes on. you can replace them as often as you like and still have them look a shitty bluish whitish color. :P

well.. for .99 each, and not having to any rigging I think im gonna try it out. maybe if it doesn't look right I'll add a few LED's inside to try and avoid that "spotting" issue.

if anyone wants those #194 bulbs but in LED versions, I found a site that has them cheaper than the site listed above. THe other site sells them for 1.49 each.

p.s.- anyone know the number for the bulbs in the rearview mirror?? I got the sunroof so my interior lights are inside the rearview mirror.. cant find that bulb for 2 years now~!!:-(

Will these just work in the gauge cluster, or will they work in the HVAC also? And how about the dome lights they have on that site? Think they will fit in our dome? Sorry for so many questions, I don't know jack about our bulbs lol.

well the ones in the domelight for the cars w/o sunroof is 3022. i'm not sure if the sunroof ones are a different size... also note that this isn't an exact fit - it's off by about 1mm but it works. the 3022 bulbs are the 31mm long ones. our stock bulbs are like 30mm or somethin. they sell regular bulbs that fit perfect but as far as colored/led ones they only come in the 31mm and 39mm size. the 31mm is close enough though. it's a bit snug but it works fine.

what about the bulbs that are in the rear-view mirror?? I been trying to find replacements for those for a year now.. lol... really hard to try and read anything at night when you got 10% tint all around and no lights in the car.;(

the HVAC controls I dunno about, haven't taken a look there yet, but the cig lighter bulb and the ashtray bulb are #74 as well.

if so then they're the same as the ones in the domelight of cars w/o the sunroof. i've never seen the bulbs in cars w/ sunroofs so i'm not too sure. i know your lights are in the mirror instead of a domelight though. if you're just looking for stock replacements most auto stores should carry them. i just brought in my old bulbs when my domelight burnt out. if you want the colored ones you'll hafta look around though.

I believe they are the same as ours with sunroofs. Our lights go in the rear view mirror. And they also make direct fit blue led bulbs for the floor boards/front markers. Hopefully one day they will make them for our dashes!

well... I took the bulb out of the rearview mirror. It doesn't look like any bulb I seen before. Its kinda like a "fuse". It doesn't have pointed ends. Its just flat on both sides, kinda looks like a fuse. Dunno.. damn thing is driving me nuts, brought the damn thing to pepboys and autozone and tried to match it, but it didn't work. And I also tried buying some other type of bulb that was close to it and popped it in, burned the bulb right out.. strange.. hmm.. how bout the convertible people?? what kinda bulbs you got?? Im guessing that I have the same as you guys since you guys dun have a dome.

no, ours are the 3022 31mm size. i just measured it and i bought replacement LED's awhile ago that fit right in (31mm). unless there's a difference in our models/years it's definatley 31mm. i'm a 95rs w/o sunroof. (actually the 31mm is a bit long but still fits ok). 36mm will definately not fit.

oh and they already sell direct replacement LED bulbs. no wiring needed. that what i bought.

if you wanna change colors go with LEDs and don't waste your time on the painted glass crap. i've had both and the painted glass/condom bulbs can't even compare to the LED's. they look like shit to begin with and after time they look worse as the paint/condom wears away. plus LED's don't get hot like regular bulbs. almost burned my fingers a couple times taking out the domelight bulbs after they'd been on awhile. :P

Just a reminder....even those the #74 bulbs will 'pop right in', the color will still not shine through blue. The back of the gauges has a thin layer of ornage tint on it that needs to be lightly sanded off, then other color bulbs (like blue #74 bulbs) can shine through.

well yeah.. thats true.. but since I was gonna do the mod with the LED's, I already had them sanded when I found that site.:thumbsup

at that autolumination place they have 2 varieties... the first is focused and the other is inverted lens......WTF is the difference???

Or if you have the gauge overlays (indiglo's) and just want to turn the odometer to a blue (which is all I want). This is perfect. I'll be ordering a few of those.

yes , the cars w/ sunroof have their lights in the mirrors. like camaros and such do.

they are different then the lights you guys have on your roof.

i dont know about the roof size but thats what I used for my lights.

our mirror lights are 40mm long.
our license plate bulbs are 168
our floor lights / kick panel lights are 194 i think.

any one else's lights have a little yellow condom over it?

mine did, just took those out and put them in my clear bumper light housings. :thumbsup
