I want to see what it looks like with out the boot on because i just converted to a manual and i noticed the manual eclipse with a shift boot has something that pushes the boot up around the edge.Heres a pic of what im taliking about.I dont know how to install a boot because their is no clamps or hooks or anything on my center console

I have the plastic piece that the boot conects to. I'm pretty sure that you can use it to replace the automatic plastic piece that had PRND12 on it.

What does the plastic piece look like?Is it the same piece that on a automatic console?

Can someone take a pic of their center console with the boot off please.

Thanks for the pics but where exactly do you connect the boot on the center console?Also i didnt notice anything different between you console and the one that was on my automatic so what makes the boot around the edge stick up a little like a ring?

That's the piece I was talking about. That black ring is what the boot usually goes over. There are 4 screws that hold it to the center console. If you still need a pic, let me know.

So is the black piece part of the center console then?Because i dont have one since my car was a auto.What is the part called?Also where can i get it?And if i got it would it screw in to the auto center console?

nope, i got one too. I have another pic that has the dash out also but not on my comp

no, it has 4 screws that screw in underneith. you can get it from mitsu, shouldnt be too much$. i think its called "shift boot support ring" yes it should screw into an auto console, theyre all the same, hope that helps,

I just called the dealer and its 54.00 for the plastic peice because it comes with the boot.
