I had thought about this too, ive seen one once and it was definetely BLING BLING.

i'm in the process of doing it, i thought it would look neat but its a pain to do.

I was wondering the same thing too. i just bought an intake manifold to port and polish, at the same time, i thought about polishing the outside.

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS

Mods: Airbox modification, NGK-BKR5E spark plugs. There was a filter at the end of the stock intake pipe, but i ran over it. GS-T Muffler soon!

i did mine and it was definately worth it. At first i freaked out once i did it at the thought that it could have been a ceramic coat i sanded off. but it wasn't and boy does it shine. It looks chrome plated, i'll definately have to take pics. By far worth it!....that is until i get an indy!

i just did mine.. i fact it'll be done tom. I'll post some pix of it by the end of the week..

whoa.....be all like the thinking man n shit. Word though, i stare at my car longingly all the time. I imagine it with rims and tires instead of jack stands.

well I got the top part polished a while back and said f(*& the rest. Just a pain, but it would be worth it. Thing shines like PLATINUM WHOAAUH (James Brown voice...I know it's corny but just imange hearing him).

i thought about polishing mine, but painting the dam thing was so much easier. didn't want to deal with it. however, the chrome look would have been really awesome.

well it took long enough..but i finally got the pix of my intake .. only the top half of the intake and throttle body is posished..but thats all i needed.. i have 2 pix..but i could only upload one due to space alotment.. so if u wanna see the rest of the pix..just messege me.

I would say go ahead and do it. The stock one is just ugly especialy once you start to do any kind of show in the engine bay. Someday I will finsh mine.
