Anyone ever thought of this? I am constantly scraping my bumpers so i thought that there would be a way to replaces the 10 bolts that hold our bumper in place with some sort of snap fastener that can be used to pop off the bumper and switch on a crappy spare bumper(i have one) so i can go and scrape it on driveways. then when i want to go on a nice drive, i'll put on my nice one. it could have some sort of locking mechanism or have to have the hood open to take off. I thought it was a good idea.

edit: this might be a pita for people with fogs or something bolted on the bumper.

I seen a 2001 (I think) Mustang Cobra R with the front ground effects held on with those metal twisty spring snap thingys! Makes sense to me!:thumbsup

I can change from my fiberglass bumper to my stock one in about 15 minutes. not that I ever do. I just try and drive carefully

search the web for DZUS fasteners. I think they are spring loaded fasteners that pop open with a half turn. interesting idea, but then won't it suk even more when you curb check you GOOD bumper? :wary

I can have my bumper off in less then 5 minutes, 5 bolts at top, zip ties on sides.... cut zips and take off side lights :)

I can get mine on or off in about 5-10 now. It's been done 4 times and is gonna get it again soon. Fucking roads. x(
