Hey guys Im fairly new to this group... And I just heard the term "ricey" for the first time earlier this month. And it never came to my attention what was ricey until I saw some of the cars in the area and thought "rice".. Man some of them are bad.. I just did the vinyl stripe last weekend.. It didnt cost me a thing since I work for my parents sign shop and run the vinyl graphics dept. Anyway tell me if this is rice to you all or what.. Im trying to come up with ideas on what to do.. i dont want anything too exotic but I want to stand out in my ricey area..

lower it hugh? Im kinda weary of doing it because I dont want to take my front end off while auto-xing... The color is out of the DuPont 2001 color book its Mitsubishi Royal Blue Pearl,, this pic doesnt show how cool the paint actually looks...

You could always go w/ Coilovers, that way you could raise it a bit for AutoX and lower it for daily driving. Its definitely i a nice color, after you mentioning that the pic doesnt do it justice i took a closer look and i can see that theres more to it. Its a really smooth looking color.

Ive got a buddy that lives in Hickory,... Im plannin on headin out there later this summer..

My answer to rice is boost. If people think you are really ricey, pop the hood and that turbo will melt their retinas.

When you race someone that thinks you are slow, and you win,....well I can't think of a better rush.

If you are concerned about being ricey, give HRC or Shaun and Wyatt a call. Or you can always feed some NOS through your system.

I do love the color though. Looks nice with the white graphics.

I live in Lexington, NC. I think it's about 2 hrs from Hickory. My AOL SN is DSMRiceHater.

I say if you lower it, it should be fine. Looks very nice. Only thing I think is overkill, is the mitsubishi on the spoiler, other than that it's cool.

I like it man.....love that color too! I have to agree with the above statements also, she needs to be lowered a bit and lose the Mitsubishi on the spoiler. Other than that....she's tight! :-)

Yeah Ive been thinking of removing that and the "Racing" on the lower part of my windshield... Origionally when I fisrt painted it I had the vinyl done uup to look like the blue racing modified eclipse on Grand Turismo 2... hence the mitsubishi on the spoiler and the eclipse above the headlight... I even did the lighting bolts on the side and the stripe on the hood, with the red mitsubishi log in the center but it was way overkill, so I just peeled it off and started over. Usaully when I get an idea I design it then put it on, and if I like it, it stays if not back to the computer screen.. got alot of looks but I like the sides plain other than what I have on them... I swear the angle of the pic throws it off.. it looks odd when I look at it.. looks way up in the air.. it really doesnt look to bad but coilovers are soon on my wish list...heres another one but it still looks goofy

I cost me the price of the paint and clearcoat.. the guy who did it for me works with me and runs his own body shop part time so I had to do up some vinyl for his race car and help him sand and bondo.. it only cost about $300. Im thinking about losing the wing and getting one thats more aggresive looking.. kinda lie the one that klipzracer has...I happen to like the metal one because all I see around here...(the few tuners in the area) they all have the supra style and it looks cheezy, I liked the GTR style but I already saw an eclipse with one around here and I wanted to look different...

Im not one to hold back and If I asked the same questions about my car I'd want some honest feedback...

Some may call me old fashioned (im 19 yrs old btw) but I think a car looks much better when its clean and has either one sticker or two. Like a sunstrip or quarter-pannel sponsor graphics.

Everytime Im driving around and I see kids with stickers all over their cars I always shake my head at them, I think it looks silly.

I think the color blue looks pretty damn tight and everybody is a fan of that front bumper, I dont particularly like metal wings, but I know thats one of the latest trends.

I have to agree with Niclipse on this one. I am not a big fan of stickers at all and I really don't like the metal wings. The car looks sweet minus all the stickers. My opinion, and it is just an opinion, is to loose all the stickers and change teh wing. Oh anf for heavens sake, lower it! LOL! :)
