45879, what is the best way to glue an emblem to a bumper permanently? Posted by blinkbizkit500, Apr-25-03 09:07 AM
hey guys, i have the letters off of my center taillight piece that i want to glue onto my back bumper, but the adhesive is obviously dried up now. what is the best stuff to use to attach each letter to the bumper? i want it to be permanent, and strong enough to be able to widthstand rain, snow, etc. Is there something someone used already to do this? any info would be appreciated. thanks guys!!

Car parts places sell this epoxy type stuff. There are several brands and types of epoxy, so read the labels and choose one that will withstand the elements. I've glued some things on my older cars that stayed on for years.

there some stuff that advance sells that's a trim adhesive for the outside trip pieces. you could try that and see how that does. there are also a few different epoxy's that you can use too but you have to mix them.

Unfortunetely I don't... its been a while since I have had the need. Just go into Autozone or whatever you have and ask for glue or epoxy. They should have a little section right by where the JB Weld is and all that. They make some specifically for outside car panels and such.
