First off this is NOT my car, it's a picture i pulled off ebay. I photoshpped out the eclipse tails and put these on, i have the taillights on order, i just wanna see what you guys think.

They are Mazda MX-3 taillights. They kinda look like supra tails, and the size is probably wrong, i just wanted to get an example. If they look dumb when i hold them up to the car then i might change my mind, i only paid $10 shipped for stock ones, not the Altezzas. I think they look ok, plus it's hard to find a tail conversion that hasn't been done already, i am trying to be original. It's either this or RSX taillights so far, but the RSX tails don't look like the shape would fit, they aren't rounded enough to fit our bumpers. If i go ahead and do it i'll post pics, maybe some of you will change your minds when it's done, and i won't be keeping the stock rear bumper, so it might look a little better.

Vector got shit for his corvette tails as did just about every other person on this site that has done or thought of doing a taillight conversion, but hey.. it wins shows right? What other suggestions besides STOCK can you guys give? Later

Talon conversion :-).. Remember that guy with the Talon convertable? :D.. if you need parts.. AIM me (icediode :thumbsup )..

Anyways.. that conversion is OK.. but I wouldn't do it. Try taking it apart, and try to put it in some type of order, and make a custom housing for it. That will get you alot of points, for some truly custom tails..

I don't hate it. It would be a little different. Something just doesn't look right with the bumper though. Might look better when you actually get the lights though. They look a little big.

Maybe, and this is just a thought, maybe you could try to do something custom. Don't neccesarily swap straight from car x to your DSM, but maybe get some LED bars are mold up a custom one-of-a-kind rear end.
Props on wanting to be different though, that's what sets us apart from the 30 something ladies you see driving a bone stock Eclipse to the grocery store or whatnot. Just do what YOU think looks the best. F everybody else man. Later. :thumbsup

yeah i think you might have the sizing wrong. here is an mx-3 and a quick photoshop i did. i say go for it man, i like it.

the best conversion for an eclipse is an eclipse. I love the eclipse head lights, I don't know why some people would want to convert it and the rear lights is a signature trade mark. It's nice and big.

S2000 Tails are nice on an Eclipse....real nice. Can remember the guys name, but the dude has a White fully moded Blitz Eclipse with Sylvia headlights, S2000 Tails, and widebody...really nice rear.

Hey whats wrong with vectors corvette tails. I like em. Oh yeah I should have mine on in a week or two, hehehe

I think some people go overboard when messing with the tailights. But if you want to do something to them, I say go for blackouts or the crystal red altezzas.
