sanded it with 220, put spot filler primer on, filled key-hole too, had paint already from painting spoiler, ( pearl berry or something like that) put 3 coats plus 2 clear, and got diamond star logo centered, and put last coat of clear. Viola! I can send a pic to ya via e-mail. I'm not smart enough to know how to post one :(

Just to let you know... DAVE_FL and I both responded to this last night before the "problems" occured on the board. I said a little something like:
Wet sand the center piece with a 1200 grit paper. Use a bucket of water with some dish soap in it as to clean it while you sand it. Make sure you sand every bit where you are going to paint. Once it is sanded rinse it with clean water. Dry completely. It is best to dry it with an aircompressor as opposed to a towel. That way you do not get lint on it. At the point it is dry make sure it is hazy any place you are going to paint it. Wipe it down with a "Plastic Safe" Grease and Wax remover. Prime it and paint it. Take your time! Prep is 99% of all body work. Good luck.
Dave_FL wrote something like: Glenn is right! He is the best! I worship him! OK MAYBE he didn't write that! It was more like: "That is pretty much what I did except I didn't prime it. I also used a clear coat."
Is that right Dave? Sorry I was trying to remember what you said, but I couldn't! LOL!
