45318, got a ? hooking up lighted visors Posted by ghostESiKY, Apr-18-03 11:20 AM
got some lighted visors and the whole wire that goes with it. when i pulled it out i noticed that it plugged in down under the wheel area. since the gs came with light visors, it came with the lighted rear view mirror, not the lights that are up in the head board like mine.
would sliceing the wires together to the ones that hook up to the head board lights work? i know they wont kick on when you open the visors, i would have to turn the head board light on right? would it work?

new idear!
ok, how about taking the whole wiring to the head board light out and putting the new wiring in. the new wiring has the same extension which hooked up to the rv mirror just the clip is different. change the clip, plug it into the dashboard light. hook the visors up, take the wiring down and plug it in.
put the ? is, is there an outlet to plug it into? my car is base model, no electric, no cruise control, nothing.

the only reason most GS have the lights in the mirror is becuase most of them have a sunroof. There is no where to put them on the roof so they stuff them on the mirror.

Yea and the lights in the mirrors dont really light up anything anyway! Just run the positive to anything that is switched power. and ground the ground. -Chris b.

my car is jus gonna sit in my driveway due to my engine for another week or two but jus pisses me off knowing that it dont work!@
