For anybody who has the dual projector headlights, how did you wire them up? Did you use the harness from the stock lights? Do you have to open up the stock lights to remove the harness? Is there some kind of universal harness you can get that will do the trick?

The single projectors do have that little connector hanging off of them like the stock lights, but the dual projectors do not. I guess its because they use the 9005/9006 type lights like the stock lights do. Anyone with dual projectors care to school me??

2 things:

1. yes all projectors come with wiring harnesses for the bulbs rather they are H3 and H4 or 9006 and 9005(except for yours for some reason)
2. www.nopionline.com sells the harnesses for any size bulb if you actually need them.

hope that info helps you out some. also, if you can post some pics, i'd like to see these headlights with no harnesses for the bulbs. that's just wierd.

I remember Niclipse ( :wary ) getting his dual projectors and having to get the wiring out of the stockers.

Ill have to borrow a digital camera, but I should be able to put up some pics in a couple of days. Im telling you though, there is no harness for these things. The back of the headlights are just two exposed housings for the projectors, and you twist the bulbs in there. Stay tuned for pics.

no, the duals DO NOT come with wiring. don't listen to people who don't have them. there's nothing wrong with yours. you are required to use stock wiring. ask sonikbewm. the whole reason they are 9006/9005 bulb size is that youre using your stock wiring with the dual projector housings. i'm not sure on how exactly you do it so you'll hafta ask sonikbewm or some of the other guys that have them. i'm getting them eventually though. that's the whole reason i opted to get my HID's now. i can keep them if i get dual projectors.

You need to cut the wiring harnesses out of your stock headlights. Cut the wires before the plug on the bottom of your stockers and then pull all the wires out. Then when you get them out, solder or whatever the wires back together and put some bulbs in the projectors and plug everything back in and you are good to go. It's really easy to do.

Is this the only way? No generic kind of harnesses available anywhere?

I don't know of any harnesses you can buy but maybe there is. It took me less than 5 minutes to cut out the wires and reconnect them when I had the dual projectors.

I did read what you wrote. This is the only thing NOPI has in terms of headlight harnesses:

It says they are for HID conversions. I imagine the harness that I would need has a single plug to attach to the factory wire and splits up into two plugs to go to the high and low beam. Perhaps sonikbewm can confirm this since he has actually seen the harness in the flesh.

he wired up his stock harness from his old headlight to the new one. and what it means by HID conversion is if you are changing the type of bulb b/c of the HID kit. these would still work like stock harnesses. a positive and a ground.

TOTalon, do you have the projectors on with your talon bumper? please tell me you do, youll make my day. i want projectors but want to keep our stock bumper.

Nope, Im getting ready to do an Eclipse conversion in a couple of weeks when my exams and thesis are done. Right now Im just trying to tie up loose ends and making sure the conversion goes smoothly.

I'm pretty sure that those harnesses won't work. Is there a reason that you don't want to cut out your stock harnesses?

After I made the switch I was hoping to clear out the stockers and sell them, but if they dont have the harness they are pretty much useless. Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Here are some pics for those who think the duals are the same as the single projectors:

i think the ones from nopi should work. it's jsut really a plastic piece which connects to the bulb. you could even go without any harnesses but it would mean ghetto-rigging some wires directly to the bulb. with those harness you at least have something to plug the bulbs into. now the other end will NOT plug right in to the car. you will need to splice wires. each of those harnesses you buy have two wires. one positive and one negative. it's just a matter of finding out which wire is which on the existing harness. look at the harness which connects the whole headlight unit to the car. i think there should be like 3 wires or something. those wires are for your high and low beams. someone should be able to tell you which wires's which. it's just a matter of tapping into those. note that the portion of the harness attached to the car will no longer plug into anything as you will be tapping into the wires directly. harnesses are just for making it easier to connect/disconnect wires.

Just cut your old harnesses out! It'll make it so much easier on you!!!!! :thumbsup You can still sell the stock headlights without the harnesses. I did with my old ones.
