Where did you all route your safc wire? Im looking in the engine bay right now and I cant find a way to get the thing in. If I do have to drill wheres the best place, I cant find a single place where I could drill safely with out hitting anything else.
Im trying to get my afc under the head unit, anylocations close to there?

under the carpet on the passanger side you can shove a wir through without drilling. i don't know if the wire is long enough though. thats where i ran my sterio crap.

yea I thought about that, but the wire is too short and Im worried the wires might melt if i route it benind the engine. :(

if you look underneath the drivers side of the dash, right above where all the steering stuff pases through the firewall, theres an area of about 8 cubic inches where you can drill. on the engine side, this will be right around where the brake fluid resivoir is (cant remember exactly). i would recommend using a nial or somthing similar to make a dent in the metal from the engine side, then you can go back into the cabin and feel for it. if theres nothing around it to mess up, drill away. if you are worried about the bit going in to far and hitting anything, heres a trick: take a bunch of old wood pieces, about 2x2 inches (lenght and width). glue them together in a thickness that is just short of the length of the drill bit, then drill a hole in the middle slightly larger than the bit you are using. place the wood over the location you are drilling and drill through the pre-made hole in the wood. that way, the actual bit cant go any further than about 1/4 through the firewall.

also, make sure you use a grommet or at least some silicone around the hole to keep the wire from rubbing against it and shorting out.

to be honest with you, it will be far more simple to get a roll of 16ish guage wire meant for automotive wiring (you can get this at any parts store), a butt connector, and a crimper and just run the wire through the massive grommet on the passengers side that was mentioned earlier.

Look under your dash. See where the steering wheel thingy goes into the enginebay? There is a black rubber boot at the firewall. Poke a hole in it and be done with this install.
