lol anyways, i've been having hella problems w/my electric oil pressure gauge. I installed the sender into the block w/a tee to the stock one, that's all correctly done. ran wire from back screw thing to the sender screw on my gauge. ran ground, and ran wire to parking lights so it lights up w/lights. Gauge doesn't work, it does sometimes, and when it does it goes crazy flinging from one end to the other. wtf is the problem?

It's funny you mention this cause I think elec. gauges are very sensitive. I have three connected together, boost, A/F, and EGT and they are always acting up. I think current to them must be stable or else they are not elec. calibrated 100%. perhaps also a bad ground. I have to have mine looked at...:wary. Not much help, but you aren't alone...

You got a short or switched ground(unlikely). What I would do is get some really long wires and hook it up w/o going through the car and just run the wires outside. Test it and if it's all crazy, then you know its the guage and not your wiring.

could my sending unit be bad? it worked erraticly for a few seconds but i figured this subtle sign of life meant it was mechanically sound and that the problem was w/wiring, but i dont see what i wired wrong
