well, after like 10 hours, burnt fingers, and a cut on my hand i did it. I transplanted the lens from my factory light to the projector housing and here are the results:



it looks a little awkard in the second pic cause i don't have the bottom bolt attacted.
sorry for the low quality, 'tis a 50 dollar digi camera

only thing is when i was putting the lens back on there were some parts, mostly the outer edge, where the lens was like maybe .1-.2" away from being completely in, but you can't tell really. not sure if others who have taken the lights apart have run into this. i used clear rtv silicone to stick the lense to the housing and then i put a bead around the outside just to be sure. i've splashed the heck out of them with no problems.
