ac button's a bit harder. you gotta wire the LED to the circuit board inside the switch. not a lotta space in there.. plus you gotta put the resistor in there too. oh and that's only for changing the snowflake. i know some people wanted to do the green/orange light. that's an even bigger bitch.

Actually the way I did it was to make a wiring harness that all of the buttons connect to. So basicly from that main plug of the HVAC light it branches out into like 8 different 2 wire connections. I did not have to solder anything directly to the switches. It will be really easy to get it back to stock as well if needed because all I have to do is pull the LED out and put the old light back in since none of it is soldered to the boards. For the AC button I just mounted the light and ran the wires straight back on the flat spot of the switch. Then I took the dramel out and got ride of the lip that comes down in the mounting hole on the top. Fits really snug still and works well. Its strange because I didn't do anything for the other AC light but it lights up blue when off and green when on. Worked out really well....
I love how it looks with my stereo aswell and actually that was th main motivation for me to get it done. Should look really good once I get the sAFC hooked up and the gauges done.
Thanks for the props guys!!

hehe .... sorry Jim ;)
I used LEDs I found at a local electronics supply store. They were rated at 2500-3500 MCD depending on voltage. I used a lower ohm resistor to up the voltage to the maximum the LEDs were rated at. I think it was like 4.5V and I used 1/2 watt 270 OHM resistors to get it pretty close to that.

Sweet Dude. Can you email me some direction at scothern@insight.rr.com? I have already done the HVAC and want to do the defogger and the AC buttons. I'm just not sure what would go where. Can you help?
