My wiring info says green wire with a black stripe, in the steering colum. Although it may be different at the steering wheel...

I'm 100% sure it's copper. :P I was thinking red. green with black stripe sounds like it tho. Purple is the airbag wire I think. Been a while since I messed with my disfunctional horn. :-(

the only one in the column that looks remotely good is a green one with red stripe and the wire is in black insulation. how can i make sure its the horn before hooking the battery back up?

well if the wire is already cut....hook a voltmeter to it. dont measure volts (since u wont get any voltage since the battery isnt hooked up..plus the wire is cut in half) but theres a different setting i forgot what it is. But anyway...if you hook up the wire to the voltmeter pos and the voltmeter neg. to a ground and try to honk the horn. If your on the right setting on the voltmeter (for the life of me...i cant think of the name) you should get 2 different readings when you try to honk the horn. if you get different readings from when u honk the horn then when u arent pressing anything...then you can be sure its the horn wire.
