I've read tons of posts about blinker rates and flat out not working blinkers. But here is my situation. My blinkers both work. the right one blinks fast, i just replaced all the bulbs in the front because i got projectors. when i didni't have headlights plugged in, no blinkers worked. but now, i replaced all the fuses that i had blown, and it still down't work. but when i have my lights turned on, the right blinker signal comes on and doesn't blink. just stays on. and all of the lights on my car light up. and when i turn the blinker on, it blinks double time like most peoples. and before you tell me to change out the bulbs, i've inspected them thoroughly, and if i switch the bulbs with the one's on the left, the same blinker doesn't work. on one of the blinkers on the right, it had a bad ground or something because the light was dimmer. so i yanked out the ground from the plug, and touched it directly to the bulb. now the light is just as bright as all the other ones. so my only problems are, funky blinker light comes on with lights, and stays, and my blinker on the right is fast... any clues? oh yeah, i had a blown fuse under my hood i think, it was a 15a one. so i replaced it and then thats when the blinkier light started to stay on with my lights.

you might want to check the side marker lights

Arent those bulbs a dual-filament bulb, meaning they serve as running lights and as blinkers also? If that were the case and you replaced one with a single filament bulb it would have the characteristics you described. It would be brighter, since it is designed to only have one brightness, and it would blink faster since it has less resistance running through it. Might be something to check out.

Before you waste much time tryin to find the most likely problem, you should try replacing the flasher, it may have a short. I seen them do some pretty funky things, And I would'nt doubt it's the problem.:thumbsup

have you ever replaced a flasher on a dsm? becuse i have no clue where it is... i can just hear it blinking behind the hvac controls.

I had this problem, on the right side tail lights on the middle light take it out and tug on the black wire, if it make the light blink normal, then thats it! I had to solder it on because it came lose

Thats weird, cuz If i yanked on it, yes, it blinked brighter, but not normal! I'll try yanking on some other ones.
