42326, Pissed at engineer who designed the headlights

What the hell?!?

I wanted to install some XtraVision bulbs today. Had no idea it was that freekin arcane! What is the point of the nice simple twist off part if you have to take the whole damn headlight out to change the actual bulb. That particular engineer out in Normal needs a swift kick in the ass...

lol you dont have to take the whole headlight out man? all you gotta do is twist that plastic POS out and push down on the little metal clip and put the new one in.. heh, dont tell me you took the whole headlight assembly out....

lol yeah dude all you do is twist off the moisture protecter thing, and then pull the metal clip, similar tot he one holding the window crank on, and then pull the plastic clip. also dont touch the glass.

Well, I am 6'5", so I guess my hands are fairly big. If the clip is all that is holding it in there I guess I didn't read the other posted instructions that well. It looked like you needed to take out those two litte screws, which were what I couldn't get at.

Sorry to vent there. I had a lot of things to do on the car yesterday to get it ready for the ITN rally, it wasn't all working, and I just got frustrated. Thanks for the replies!

trust me, Juan doesn't look very comfortable in the GS. Luckly he somewhat alleviated the problem by doing the lowered seat mod.

too bad I'm not able to CO-drive for Dan. Woudl love to do the ITN rally...:(

Hey! I'm more comfy in the Eclipse than most cars I've been in. When I was shopping for cars 6 yrs ago, none of the other ones I tried (Celica, 240, MR2, etc) I liked much. With the seat back at the right angle, and the Seat Lowering Mod, I do fine in my car. Not having a sunroof helps a lot, too.

Will miss you at the ITN, Kaiser. Sounds like there will be a lot of people running...
