4201, Best Place to drill hole for interior neon's

Hey I am gonna install about 5 neon lights and I am gonna have to hookup a switchboard on the inside of my car. Just wanted to know the best place to drill holes to have the main wires from the battery coming into the interior of the car. I have heard something about the firewall, but Im not really sure where thats at...havent seen it from under my car. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks
MIke

ok if you open the hood, by the brake resevoir to the right is a great spot. about 6-8 inches down from the top and make sure you are about 4-5 inches away from the resevoir. go to a local stereo shop and ask the installer to mark it for you cause it is not easy. i actually had a shop mark mine for me....they said that this is where they run the power lines for stereos and stuff. i have 2 20" in the car and about 6 more diff neons ordered for in the car. i ran the power a little different than you are though. i taped into the circuit breaker that does accessories so that the lights can only turn on when the key turns past accessories option. that way if the key is out no lights at all. hope this helps

....uhhhh dont know if you can understand it hehehe but hope you can

Ok read me carefully and you will see how easy this can be. 1)On the passenger side 2) right below the glove compartment 3) against the wall 4) that seperates the cock pit from the engine bay are some wires that runs through it. How does this wire run from the engine bay to the cockpit you ask? Well there's a rubber boot that fills up the hole where these wires run through. find a conventional capless push pen (you know the one where you push the top and the point comes out of it's hole) take that pen and and remove the push part and the ink and everyting else in it. Now you take that pen and push it through the rubber boot and you will see that it comes out to the engine bay. All you do now is take the wiring from the neon lights and slip it through the hole of the pen and it will have no problem going through to the cock pit. After all this is done, you just remove the pen. See no drilling Ma. By the way you would use this process when you are putting neon lights on the outside of the car.
