41917, My new arse and Need bodywork help
Posted by HondaHater21, Mar-02-03 11:49 AM
Ok its on and everything as you can see, now in the pics below you can see that big ass gap by the fender. Now I used 5 plys of fiberglass, now i need to make it much thicker. Should I just use some fiberglass matting instead?or n e other trick? TIA

Yup I cut out the vents too!

erm matting would work or you could try come bondo, matting would fix it but bondo would be way easier use and sand

IM trying to stay away from useing hords of bondo, Its only ment to fill lil holes and low spots, not fill a 1/4 hole. N e way fiberglass is easier for me

Why is the fitment so bad? Did it come like that and if so where did you get it?

fitment is actually not that bad, if it was bad fitment he would have had to add more around the taillights and quarter panel

you could use some kitty hair, thats basically a bondo-like form of fiberglass, without the worry of cracking and stuff. mat builds up really well to...i think it wouldnt be too hard to just do it with that. looks good sofar though. :thumbsup

I bought it from ebay, but the box came from a place called importtrendz. The only things that dont fit right is that one spot, The pointsed ends where the bumper meets the wheel well are rounded instead of pionted and there is a spot that needs to be made strait. But Im happy with the fit.

just use the fiberglass resin and some thin sheets of fiberglass, you can get it at your local body shop supplier. they will have everthing. you think yours looks bad you should have seen my rear and skirts when i had to do them. they had to be chop'd and alter'd bad.... your's isn't that bad. but don't try and use bondo stay with the fiberglass and resin and mix w/hardner.

well like I said, Im not new to fiberglass, I built a plane from carbonfiber, built bunches of other things, so this is easy, Im about to use 5 ply of matting and a layer of fiberglass
