Does anyone know of any other JDM things for the Eclipse/Mitsu? I know of the taillights that are like half amber and half red and I've seen a few JDM badges like the MMC. Anything else? I want some stuff that no one else has, to bad I dont really like the taillights, I do like the taillights that are all red (crystal looking) from Asylum Motorsports (asylumms.com).

What do the mirrors look like? The only different mirrors I've ever seen on a 2G are M3s and the Bomex ones, dont like either though.

Why does everyone talk about JDM eclipse parts? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that there never were 2G eclipses in Japan, just 1Gs. The different mirrors and taillights are off the european eclipse.

believe me, they were sold in japan. theres a long thread somewhere in the pits about it

yep. all were 95-96 style with the euro tails(amber corners). i remember b/c i saw a pic of a 1st gen with gull wing doors.

they do have JDM versions of the eclipse over there. they have a 4g63 non-turbo engine in it. you'll have to talk to one of the guys from overseas to get a set of the mirrors but they run about 400+ for them. i was getting a set but the guy sold them to someone else. but i can get them from the dealer in japan but it's gonna be costly.

the side turn signals in the fenders as well:

that's not a jdm eclipse. it's not rhd(right hand drive) close though. very close. i do like the mirrors but the turn signals on the fender, too honda/european.

actually it never came with those in the fenders. those are aftermarket. he installed them after he got the car. as for it rhd, so sad to say but you can't get them that way.

here no, asia yes. why would japan produce a LHD vehicle in it's own country when they drive opposite and all? RHD asian market, LHD norht american market.

99.99% sure they never made a right hand drive 2gnt. All the eclipse I have seen from Japan were all left hand drive. Not a very common car their either. But they do have the FTO.

hmm, i do remember seeing the 2g eclipse's from asia but i can't say i remember seeing them LHD or RHD. i would assume they would be RHD b/c they drive opposite of us. hmm. oh well.

Just because they drive on the opposite side there doesnt mean that htey have to be RHD cars. We have RHD cars here and drive them on our streets. My friends mini cooper s is a RHD and it is really weird to shift with your left hand...

trust me, the very few eclipses that are there are LHD. they have no RHD eclipses there.

i'm not even sure there were eclipses in japan. i'm probably wrong, but i think all these "jdm eclipses" we're talking about were really only in europe. of course, then they wouldn't be JDM would they. btw, those aren't aftermarket fenders he's got on his car, they're stock (for wherever he's from).

never made a JDM RHD or LHD 2G eclipse. The "asian" market and the whole LHD and RHD thing is pointless. Japan had the FTO, which you could mistake for a eclipse sometimes.. Thats where the European eclipses adopted there mirros from. Ive never seen an eclipse in Hong Kong,or Japan, only in Taiwan, China and they were all LHD. Shoot.. if enough people are actually really interested and serious about buying those mirrors, then I'll call up a friend in Japan and see if its possible to arrange a group buy or something.
And yes.. it would be kewl to have folding mirrors.. Hate the fact mine keeps getting smashed off cause of damn ass "double parkers" in NYC~!!

the eclipse wasn't made in japan. there are some there that were shipped in, thats why no RHD, they weren't made there. (this information could be wrong but its been around for a while and i didn't comeup with it) i am 98% sure they never MADE the eclipse in japan.

nope. they were never made in japan at all. they are imported but JDM means Japanese Direct Market. just because it wasn't made there mean it's not JDM.

i know a guy who bought his eclipse in germany but i have not noticed anything special about it. he does have cf taillights but ihave not noticed if they were amber on the turn signal portion. i guess i will have to look again.

if it has carbon fiber tails then it's an aftermarket set. the stock tails on the foreign eclipse's have the outside of the tails as amber. the mirrors are also different.

If you wanted JDM stuff you bought the wrong car. I suggest getting a Honda. I'm all ADM, American Domestic Motor. just because you hear JDM in a sentence, it doesn't make your car cool or any different. My ADM motor spanks on a Si or GSR with JDM motor and all the other JDM bullshit all day long. Keep adding the sake, cuz this Jack D drinking eclipse ADM driving asian boy will still spank the rice out of JDM.
