I searched, couldn't find it. How do you get this thing off? I heard it was tricky. I haven't tried it yet though.

It's not that bad dood. Just time consuming.
You gotta pull the interior trim out, of course, and then it's just a trial and error game with the bolts holding it on. You'll want an extension for your socket wrench tho. Nothing too hard. Someone on here has a write up on it. It should find it's way into this thread soon enough. :7

I don't know if this will help:

Doesn't point out where they are located on the inside, but it looks like it uses 8 nuts.

It's pretty easy, I've had to take mine off a million times. I can probably do it in about two minutes. Just snap that interior peice off and unscrew it. I have mine painted to, love it.

I like that to, I was thinking about doing that myself but I deceided to go ahead and color match it green. Both of them are good ways to go. If you are going to do a color match and paint the middle, then get a little Bondo and fill in the lock hole for that extra clean look!

^^^LOL, hell naw. I don't know how many of you get your rear hatch up in the first tug on your handle, but I sure don't! I usually have to use my key or run back and forth to the drivers seat to pull the handle a couple times.

I've never had a problem with it, actually my lock cyclinder doest even work back there so I cant use my key anyway unless I want to break it.
