41250, Are there any ACTUAL racing pedals??? Posted by BuckNutty, Feb-22-03 03:02 AM
I was jus wondering if they make actual pedal replacements instead of overlays. I want pedals cuz i think they look nice, but all my friends that have them have had theirs fall off after a while and screws strip out n whatnot. TIA

Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster
Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better
Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior
I really dont think anyone makes a full racing pedal...just the overlays....if you do get overlays...go with the big names like Sparco or MoMo....nothing else....no apc crap..spend the extra money and get the best quality

i have the momo pedals, i paid like 60 bucks for them and i love em. To get the best results remove all the plastic on each pedal. Mine ame with allen screws and bolts, no issues of them coming loose.

Sparco's are without a doubt the best when it comes to not coming off. MOMO is nice to though.

Back in the day when I first bought the car and all I knew was rice I bought the full set of Razo's with the Titanium mesh for like $80. The clutch and brake pedals came off after about a year. The screws also stuck out of the back WAY too far. You could probably have the metal overlays welded on to the stock pedals to keep them on.

I got my Momos from optauto.com, it took like 2 months to get them because they were back ordered along with my Sparco shift knob. I love the pedals though, look really sharp and are still on tight.

Ive had my Razo pedals for a little over 2yrs w/o any probs. I took the rubber pieces off first and then just followed the directions. The screws do stick out though, sometimes my shoestrings will get caught on them, which is a :nono
